Our history

Founded in 2002 by Gerry Leudy and Lawrence Beck, Motion Steel started in the Foothills Industrial area with a 12,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.  The facility contained 2 x 10 ton overhead cranes, ironworker, 2 drill presses, horizontal and vertical bandsaws and a milling machine along with multiple welding machines for GMAW, MCAW, FCAW and SMAW. 

In 2008 an exterior 5 ton overhead crane was added to help with the flow of finished goods.

Summer of 2014 brought on a change of locations to our current facility in Shepard Industrial Park adding 2000 sq ft of manufacturing space and additional yard space. 

Gerry announced his retirement in April of 2022 leading to the purchase of Motion Steel by The Cyntech Group in November of the same year.  Since then Motion Steel has added a plasma table and a pipe profiler to their list of equipment.
